The Nagenahiru Environmental Learning Center at Madampa Lake is managed by Nagenahiru Foundation in collaboration with Global Nature Fund to promote rural vitality and empower rural communities for national prosperity. Its mission is to safeguard and regenerate fragile ecological areas while also advancing social welfare and environmental restoration.

Furthermore, our organization endeavors to foster a community-based sustainable tourism experience under the Living Lakes Biodiversity and Climate Project as a front-runner initiative aimed at catalyzing the conservation of lakes and wetlands as climate solutions that benefit both people and biodiversity. We also strive to enhance the living standards of the local community and safeguard the region’s cultural heritage.
